The Masters of Arts in Politics and Economics of Contemporary Eastern and Southeastern Europe programme was one that focused on imparting extensive knowledge by professors who were established professionals in their respective fields. Through this, I was able to gain a solid and all-rounded understanding of what was being taught, helping me to build a good foundation which I found to be extremely useful when transitioning to pursuing a PhD in the same department. Additionally, I was also able to draw on what I had learnt when partaking in simulations about policy-making in the European Union and while engaging in dialogue sessions with European institutions such as the European Parliament and Council of the EU. The programme is thus, one that imparts a high quality of knowledge that is not only academically relevant but sets the ground for real-world application and comprehension.
