How to apply

It will help to ensure that everything goes fast and easily. You can submit your applications all year round until places are fully filled. However, early application is advised to secure places.Your application will not be considered until we have received all your supporting documents. Only the English test results can be submitted additionally. Wherever possible you should submit all of your documents with your online application. You should expect to wait an average of 3-4 weeks for a decision.

Online application

The online application is submitted through an account that you will create online using your email address. You will need to use the same email address for your application and any enquiries to us. You do not need to complete the form at once. You can return to your partially completed application by logging in to the system using your email address and password you create at the start of the process.You should also upload your supporting documents with your application. Your application will not be considered until we have received all your supporting documents. Only the English test results can be submitted additionally.You should ask your referees to submit their reference letters to our email mpesecr@uom.edu.gr. We will process your application once the letters are received.

Supporting documents

All applications must be accompanied by supporting documents. 

  1. A personal statement of purpose (stating why you want to participate in this program and describing future career plans). Your personal statement should be typed and no longer than one side of A4 paper. It shouldn’t be longer than 500 - 750 words.
  2. A curriculum vitae.
  3. Certified copies of first degree and related transcripts (course marks), translated into either English or Greek where necessary. Candidates who have not yet graduated should submit a signed statement documenting:
    (a) their current average mark;
    (b) the number of courses remaining in order to graduate; and
    (c) a commitment to submit their final degree at registration in September.
  4. Proof of proficiency in English.
  5. Two letters of recommendation (of which at least one must be from a faculty member of the university from which you graduated). Such letters should have an original signature and stamp of the originating institution and be attached to the application in a sealed envelope with the referee’s signature over the flap. If the application and the supporting documents are sent by e-mail, the reference letters should be sent directly by the referees from their professional e-mails.

Work experience, proficiency in other languages, and holding of a postgraduate degree are welcome and will be additionally evaluated.

Please keep in mind that it is your responsibility to ensure that your application is complete, including all references. Please be aware that all documents are non-returnable.
